Anti-wrinkle Injections

Botulinum Toxin is a naturally occurring protein that was first used in the 1960s for treating eye diseases such as strabismus (turned eye) and blepharospasm (uncontrollable blinking).  Since the 1990s it has also become popular as an anti-wrinkle agent.

The cosmetic areas often targeted are between the eyebrows and the crow’s feet area.  The procedure is done in the clinic.  Small quantities are injected using very fine needles, which relax the muscle and improve the wrinkles.  The effect lasts 3-4 months depending on the area treated and the dose given.   As an eye specialist Dr. Rose brings important expertise to the cosmetic application of injections around the eye.

Dr Loren Rose is accredited for both the therapeutic and cosmetic applications.
